 Ohio Martial Arts Magazine™

A Non-profit Organization

With  A 501 (c) (3 ) Status

Dear Fellow Martial Artists:

My name is Mrs. Regina Lugo.  I am the Publisher of a new and exciting magazine called “Ohio Martial Arts Magazine Inc.™” {O.M.A.M.). I was an undeafed kumite champion in, and around the state of Ohio. Before retiring, I had the honor and privilege of being inducted into the "Karate Union Hall of Fame(1998)". Since then, I've been working and going to school, but the love of the arts was always in my heart. For this reason, I decided to publish this non-profit magazine.  This organization is a non-profit Public Charity to create a positive immediate impact on our communities in the State of Ohio.

Sponsorship Donation Monies Goes to Support Our Communitiy Programs:

Summer Camp Programs (get kids off the street & into something positive)

Beginning this summer, we will be offering classes for the community youth in the Martial Arts.  These programs will be designed to teach children of many different backgrounds and upbringing how to live their lives with Discipline, Honor, Self-Respect and Integrity.  During these 2 to 4 week programs, they will also learn how to achieve their goals in life with hard work and determination.

CPR  Certifications

 CPR Classes

In coalition with the local Fire Department, Ohio Martial Arts Magazine will be offering CPR Certification classes to any individual who wants to learn the skills to potentially save a life.  You will be trained by professional CPR instructors on the current techniques used in CPR and First Aid.  This will be a course that we urge anyone to take, because you never know when you will be called upon to save a life!

FILL THE BOOT

Ohio Martial Arts Magazine is proud to be partners with the local Fire Departments and their Fill-The-Boot programs.  As a non-profit, Christian organization, we strive to reach out to those in need in any form we can.  The Fill-The-Boot Program benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Local Burn units and many other organizations.  Local Firefighters will be our honored guests at our tournament circuit throughout the year and we encourage you to give when you can and to say “thank you” to your local Firefighter whenever you can!

Rape Prevention

Rape violence can be a devastating and traumatic event for any victim and it is becoming more frequent in many neighborhoods throughout the community.  Our rape prevention programs will teach individuals self-defense techniques, confidence and how to potentially avoid a potentially precarious situation.  This program will be taught by professionals who will have the utmost respect for concerned individuals and for those who may have already experienced the devastation that rape violence can bring to a community.  We encourage you to educate yourself on how to protect yourself and your loved ones!

Diabetes Programs

 Testing

Has diabetes taken control of your life?  We at Ohio Martial Arts know how difficult it is for an individual to live with this disease.  Our Diabetes program will educate you on the importance of maintaining a healthy diet and exercise regiment.  We can help to set up a daily exercise program and educate those in need on a proper healthy diet to help you maintain a positive and healthy life

with Diabetes.

Social Ministry Outreach programs

 Computer Classes

As a Christian-Based company, Our Social Ministry Outreach is designed to reach out with the love of Christ and touch hearts wherever we are needed.  From Bible study programs to Re-entry training programs, we will meet the need of those who need a helping hand!  Our re-entry training program will help to educate misguided youth, teenagers and adults on such topics as basic computer skills, basic Journalism classes, self-respect and discipline.  These programs are designed to be a local stepping stone to becoming a responsible and thriving part of your community.

Individual Tournaments

Competitor of The Year 2009

We believe that competition is a key ingredient to motivating one’s self to achieve great things.  Throughout the year, our O.M.A.M.C. promoters will be hosting various tournaments that will be held with the utmost respect for the true spirit of the Martial Arts.  With a variety of disciplines already available and more on the way, with Grappling/ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the Padded Weapons divisions being the newest additions, we invite you to come and be a part of this competitive yet respectful circuit!  Of course, each individual tournament will be a chance to accrue points throughout the year and potentially help you become a State Champion at the State Championship held at the end of each year!

The continuation of Ohio Martial Arts Magazine Inc. so we can  Keep Spreading the Good News

    Ohio State Representative

    Nancy Garland

Our hope is to provide as much support back to the community that we can achieve!  However, being a non-profit organization, we can only achieve our goals with your continuing support.  Each tournament you attend, magazine subscription you sign up for, donation you give

to Ohio Martial Arts Magazine, concession you purchase will help us operate well into the future.  We will strive to build our community brick-by-brick with each dollar you give!  Ohio Martial Arts Magazine would like to give you our deepest heart-felt thank you and say God Bless!
